Tapestry Youth exists to encourage and challenge students to become disciples of Christ.
Our desire is to see students encounter God, be transformed by the love of Christ, be empowered by the Holy Spirit, and be in the community that is Tapestry Youth. We do this through Gospel-Centered and Spirit-Empowered teaching, usually led by our Youth Director, Daniel Kim. Together, we want students to make an impact for Christ in their schools, communities, and families. We want them to take part in the Tapestry that God is weaving over history, and to be a part of the story that He is writing out.
Our Youth service takes place during Tapestry LA Church’s Second Service at 11:15 AM.
Once a month, we have outings that help cultivate a community where students are able to grow in their relationships as brothers and sisters in Christ.
James is a Pastoral Intern at Tapestry LA. Being born into a pastor’s family, he also sensed a call into ministry at a young age and graduated from Biola University with a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. Afterwards he decided to go on a One Year Internship to Singapore. It was in Singapore where his heart for the urban church continued to grow.
After spending a year in Singapore, James returns with a desire to see the church impact the city of Los Angeles with the gospel of Jesus Christ. He will continue his Masters of Divinity at Talbot School of Theology
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
