Tapestry Youth exists to encourage and challenge students to become disciples of Christ.
Our desire is to see students encounter God, be transformed by the love of Christ, be empowered by the Holy Spirit, and be in the community that is Tapestry Youth. We do this through Gospel-Centered and Spirit-Empowered teaching, usually led by our Youth Director, Daniel Kim. Together, we want students to make an impact for Christ in their schools, communities, and families. We want them to take part in the Tapestry that God is weaving over history, and to be a part of the story that He is writing out.
Our Youth service takes place during Tapestry LA Church’s Second Service at 11:15 AM.
On the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month, we will have gatherings such as fellowship events and praise and prayer nights.
Daniel is the Youth Director at Tapestry LA Church. He was radically saved during a youth retreat, an experience that shaped his belief in the potential of the young people whose lives are wholly surrendered to God. He felt the calling upon his life for ministry as a senior in high school and decided to become a full-time missionary through Youth With A Mission (YWAM), an international, interdenominational missions organization. He has travelled and ministered in various countries, including India, the Middle East, South Africa and Europe. He, along with his wife, pioneered a ministry called Come and See in Switzerland, which seeks to serve the local churches by providing intentional discipleship and empowering the believers to fully live out their identity in Christ.
Daniel and his wife, Marie, whom he met in YWAM, have two daughters, Anna and Mila. His free time is spent mostly with the family. His hobbies are sports, both playing and watching, and eating good food. His passion is to see the power of God manifest in and through the lives of the believers by the empowering of the Holy Spirit.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
